Data Science

IPTA provides enterprise data management, data modeling, data analytics/business intelligence, machine learning, and artificial intelligence support. We collaborate with our government customers to understand their specific requirements and then design, develop, and manage effective and innovative data platform solutions. Our experience and expertise have led us to be at the forefront in architecting, deploying, and operating multiple Secure Cloud Computing Architecture- (SCCA-) compliant DoD environments for the US Army and US Air Force.

Our team provides data domain expertise and processes for capturing and defining data management policies and procedures, creating data standards for reliable information exchange and user understanding, and ensuring that data access controls comply with relevant regulations and information protection guidance.

Data security is a critical capability, and our data security professionals understand the Risk Management Framework (RMF) and how to achieve federal system ATOs and the NIST 800-53 accreditations necessary to safeguard their data. Using this knowledge, IPTA has been at the forefront in architecting, deploying, and operating multiple Secure Cloud Computing Architecture- (SCCA-) compliant DoD environments for the US Army and Air Force.

Data Science in Practice

In close collaboration with the US Army, our engineers developed an analytical application and data storage solution that ingested emails and unstructured reports via email- and document-based ETL and processing workflows. Together, we determined steps needed to improve in all areas of doctrine, organization, training, materiel, leadership, personnel, and facilities. We delivered a thorough overview of the entire process, supporting analysis for more than 1,000 papers and the information required to fulfill the mission.

Network System Administration & Engineering Support

IPTA ensures hardware, software, and data security and compliance are the foundation of our customer’s successful large-scale enterprise IT infrastructures. We support the full life cycle of network hardware and software at the enterprise level, offering a wide range of technical skills and expertise to further each federal customer’s mission. For the Department of Defense (DoD), we update and improve existing technology, LAN/WAN connectivity, and support both unclassified and classified environments. We monitor DoD network traffic, identify and fix network issues, and create solutions to patch vulnerabilities and optimize overall network performance.

Network System Administration & Engineering in Practice

IPTA’s network system administration and software development skills support the US Army’s Capability Development Command (DEVCOM) Aviation and Missile Center (AvMC) enterprise IT infrastructure. AvMC’s Technology Development Directorate (TDD), Systems Readiness Directorate (SRD), and Software, Simulation, Systems Engineering, and Integration (S3I) Directorate rely on the IPTA Team as their CIO/G6 Information Technology partner. The AvMC mission helps the US Army securely research, develop, test, and evaluate the cutting-edge weapons systems that keep our country safe and secure. IPTA’s in-depth knowledge of the relevant technologies, operational challenges, and sustainment difficulties inherent in large-scale IT enterprises help us enhance network and software performance for the 12,000+ users throughout Redstone Arsenal and other CONUS facilities.

Cybersecurity

IPTA provides cybersecurity solutions that achieve organizational cybersecurity goals while fully complying with regulatory requirements and industry best practices. IPTA uses an integrated, holistic approach to ensure that cybersecurity is considered proactively rather than as an afterthought. Our cybersecurity experts from all technical domains collaborate with other team members to create and integrate more effective and efficient cybersecurity solutions.

IPTA’s cybersecurity team has experience providing cybersecurity for traditional and cloud systems, along with unique systems with intricate logical and physical technologies such as space launch systems, satellite control networks, and weapons testing facilities. These unique environments require experience delivering cybersecurity in settings with stringent limitations on the types of techniques and technology that can be used.

IPTA also has extensive expertise in RMF-based cybersecurity, including the DoD and individual Service implementations of the RMF 2.0, a set of guidelines that provides an organized method for handling risks to an organization’s operations and assets, including its data, systems, and people.

Cloud Solutions

IPTA creates and delivers innovative cloud solutions to modernize and transform government. IPTA specialists are skilled in implementing cloud infrastructures, cloud application migrations, cloud-native application design, and more. We have experience with AWS GovCloud and Microsoft AzureGov at Impact Levels 2, 4, 5, and 6. Our main goal is to offer best-value solutions while maintaining the required standards of security, dependability, and scalability.

Software Development

IPTA’s software development capabilities are powered by our team’s expertise in development methodologies and platforms, including CMMI Development Level 3, Agile Velocity Intensified (Agile-Vi), and DevSecOps best practices. Our experience with Microsoft Azure DevOps, the ServiceNow Low-Code development platform, and Microsoft .NET programming provides organizations with a wide range of solution implementation options. Our software development team is currently working on multiple significant projects for customers including the Federal Aviation Administration, the US Army, and the US Air Force.

Agile-Vi

IPTA is an ISO 9001:2015 certified, “Agile-first” company and follows a repeatable set of Agile processes which serve as the foundation for delivering Engineering and Consulting services for technology engagements.

We recognize the challenges of executing agile practices within highly regulated Federal environments, and will employ our proven Agile Velocity Intensified (“Agile Vi”methodology to support customer requirements.

Agile Vi is a tailorable framework that allows us to overlay and integrate Agile practices with statutory and regulatory requirements to meet ever-evolving customer needs.

This approach enables the Government to outline “what” needs to be accomplished, without being overly prescriptive on “how” it is accomplished. Agile Vi as a framework can be applied to any type of project, including software development projects and when applied to software development, Agile Vi is used as a hybrid Agile-Waterfall methodology that streamlines all system development lifecycle processes within rigorous, structured, often classified, Government environments. In addition, it allows us to efficiently drive the strategic planning, implementation, and sustainment of IT solutions, which include, but are not limited to, advanced Microsoft technology solutions.
